Sorting Out & Identifying Emotions & Feelings are an important part of Social Language that many of our clients are learning to better understand.

THESE INTERACTIVE SPEECHPAGES are designed to allow the client an opportunity to try to identify the choice of emotions/feelings that illustrated scenarios may represent!

(We used 100 dots and three strips of velcro to make this combo set! That's a LOT of interactive fun learning!)

EASY TO USE!  YOU GET A COMBO OF TWO EMOTION SETS!

Set 3A: SORTING OUT EMOTIONS

(An easier-to-work-on set giving two choices of feelings per scenario.)

This set has a total of 36 different colorful INTERACTIVE ILLUSTRATED LAMINATED CARDS Velcroed to Three SpeechPages!

HOW IT WORKS:

-Discuss each of the 36 DIFFERENT COLORFUL VELCROED CARD with Emotion Topic Situations written and illustrated on the cards (EX: "You dropped your ice cream cone on the grass." or  "You found money in your pocket that you forgot about." etc.) Allow the client to sort the cards onto the TWO Feeling choices per holding SpeechPage!

SET 4B: LABELING A VARIETY OF EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS

(A more advanced set giving a wide variety of choices of feelings to choose from per scenario.)

This set has FOUR DIFFERENT SpeechPages with a total of 48 ILLUSTRATED EMOTION SCENARIOS!  PLUS: a total of 32 different colorful INTERACTIVE ILLUSTRATED LAMINATED EMOTION CARDS Velcroed to a DISPLAY SpeechPage!

HOW IT WORKS:

-Display one SpeechPage at a time with 12 illustrations of emotion scenarios each  along with the holding/display page filled with a variety of Emotion choices cards.

-Discuss the types of emotions being presented prior to use. Discuss the illustrated situation one at a time. Allow the client an opportunity to try to identify the choice of emotion that scenario may represent, then choose from the display page and place it onto the illustrated scenario.

Many options are presented. Use a dry erase marker to write out on a blank any feeling that is identified that is not on the pre-made cards.

NOTE: Rather than focus on right or wrong answers, discussions as to why or why not the scenario may represent certain types of emotions may be more beneficial.
