Many states currently have SLP shortages, the crisis is particularly evident in the school-based settings.
What do you feel would be the most effective way to get more SLPs to work in school settings?
Give sign-on bonuses and/or tuition repayments to new SLPs that work in schools
Aggressively recruit in college to encourage more students in this area
Relax the standards to obtain a school SLP license
Assign more mentors and support for new SLPs that choose to work in schools
